What is ruby-polyglot

ruby-polyglot is:

Allows one to write custom language loaders for specified file extensions to be hooked into require.

This supports the creation of DSLs having a syntax that is most appropriate to their purpose, instead of abusing the Ruby syntax.

Required files are attempted first using the normal Ruby loader, and if that fails, Polyglot conducts a search for a file having a supported extension.

There are three methods to install ruby-polyglot on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-polyglot Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-polyglot using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
