How To Install ruby-origami on Debian 10

What is ruby-origami
ruby-origami is:
Origami is a PDF-compliant parser. It provides a scripting tool to generate and analyze malicious PDF files. It can also be used to create on-the-fly customized PDFs, or to inject (evil) code into already existing documents.
This package contains the Ruby library code, which can be used from other Ruby programs to manipulate PDF’s.
There are three methods to install ruby-origami
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-origami Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-origami
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-origami

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-origami
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-origami
Install ruby-origami Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-origami
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-origami
How To Uninstall ruby-origami on Debian 10
To uninstall only the ruby-origami
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-origami
Uninstall ruby-origami And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-origami
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-origami
Remove ruby-origami Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-origami
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-origami
