How To Install ruby-oauth2 on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-oauth2 on Kali Linux.
What is ruby-oauth2
ruby-oauth2 is:
A Ruby wrapper for the OAuth 2.0 protocol built with a similar style to the original OAuth spec.
This is a work in progress, being built first to solve the pragmatic process of connecting to existing OAuth 2.0 endpoints (a.k.a. Facebook) with the goal of building it up to meet the entire specification over time.
There are three methods to install ruby-oauth2 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-oauth2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-oauth2 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-oauth2Install ruby-oauth2 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-oauth2 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-oauth2Install ruby-oauth2 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-oauth2 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-oauth2How To Uninstall ruby-oauth2 on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ruby-oauth2 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-oauth2Uninstall ruby-oauth2 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-oauth2 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-oauth2Remove ruby-oauth2 Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-oauth2 configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-oauth2Remove ruby-oauth2 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-oauth2 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ruby-oauth2Dependencies
