How To Install ruby-json on Kali Linux

What is ruby-json

This library implements the JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) specification in Ruby, allowing the developer to easily convert data between Ruby and JSON. You can think of it as a low fat alternative to XML, if you want to store data to disk or transmit it over a network rather than use a verbose markup language.
There are three methods to install ruby-json on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-json Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-json using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-jsonInstall ruby-json Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-json using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-jsonInstall ruby-json Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-json using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the ruby-json package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-jsonUninstall ruby-json And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-json and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-jsonRemove ruby-json Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-json configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-jsonRemove ruby-json configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-json configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ruby-jsonDependencies
