What is ruby-hitimes

ruby-hitimes is:

Hitimes is a fast, high resolution timer library for recording performance metrics. It uses the appropriate low method calls for each system to get the highest granularity time increments possible.

It currently supports any of the following systems: * any system with the POSIX call clock_gettime() * Mac OS X * Windows * JRuby Using Hitimes can be faster than using a series of Time.new calls, and it will have a much higher granularity. It is definitely faster than using Process.times.

There are three methods to install ruby-hitimes on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-hitimes Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-hitimes using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-hitimes

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-hitimes using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
