How To Install ruby-guard on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-guard on Kali Linux.
What is ruby-guard
ruby-guard is:
Guard automates various tasks by running custom rules whenever file or directories are modified. It’s frequently used by software developers, web designers, writers and other specialists to avoid mundane, repetitive actions and commands such as “relaunching” tools after changing source files or configurations.

There are three methods to install ruby-guard on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-guard Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-guard using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-guardInstall ruby-guard Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-guard using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-guardInstall ruby-guard Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-guard using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-guardHow To Uninstall ruby-guard on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ruby-guard package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-guardUninstall ruby-guard And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-guard and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-guardRemove ruby-guard Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-guard configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-guardRemove ruby-guard configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-guard configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ruby-guardDependencies
