How To Install ruby-full on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-full on Kali Linux.
What is ruby-full
ruby-full is:
For many good reasons, the Ruby programming language is split in many small different packages. Installing this package will make sure you have all the packages that add up to a full Ruby installation, with the exception of the Tcl/Tk bindings for Ruby, which are only recommended.
This package is a dependency package, which depends on Debian’s default Ruby version (currently v2.7).
There are three methods to install ruby-full on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-full Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-full using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-fullInstall ruby-full Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-full using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-fullInstall ruby-full Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-full using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-fullHow To Uninstall ruby-full on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ruby-full package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-fullUninstall ruby-full And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-full and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-fullRemove ruby-full Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-full configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-fullRemove ruby-full configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-full configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ruby-fullDependencies
