How To Install ruby-filepath on Kali Linux

What is ruby-filepath
ruby-filepath is:
filepath provides the FilePath class: a modern replacement for the standard Pathname class.
The FilePath class provides immutable objects with dozens of convenience methods for common operations such as calculating relative paths, concatenating paths, finding all the files in a directory or modifying all the extensions of a list of filenames at once.
There are three methods to install ruby-filepath
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-filepath Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-filepath
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-filepath

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-filepath
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-filepath
Install ruby-filepath Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-filepath
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-filepath
How To Uninstall ruby-filepath on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ruby-filepath
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-filepath
Uninstall ruby-filepath And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-filepath
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-filepath
Remove ruby-filepath Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-filepath
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-filepath
