How To Install ruby-fast-stemmer on Ubuntu 20.04

What is ruby-fast-stemmer
ruby-fast-stemmer is:
Fast-stemmer is simply a wrapping around multithreaded Porter stemming algorithm.
This gem adds a String::stem method, and it’s in order of magnitude faster (and uses much less memory) than the pure Ruby implementation of stemmer. Ruby-Versions: ruby2.7

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-fast-stemmer using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-fast-stemmer
Install ruby-fast-stemmer Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-fast-stemmer using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-fast-stemmer
Install ruby-fast-stemmer Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-fast-stemmer using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-fast-stemmer
How To Uninstall ruby-fast-stemmer on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the ruby-fast-stemmer package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-fast-stemmer
Uninstall ruby-fast-stemmer And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-fast-stemmer and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-fast-stemmer
Remove ruby-fast-stemmer Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-fast-stemmer configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-fast-stemmer
Remove ruby-fast-stemmer configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-fast-stemmer configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ruby-fast-stemmer
