How To Install ruby-cose on Ubuntu 22.04

This library provides Ruby implementation of RFC 8152 CBOR Object Signing and Encryption (COSE).
CBOR (Concise Binary Object Representation) is a data format whose design goals include the possibility of extremely small code size, fairly small message size, and extensibility without the need for version negotiation.

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-cose using apt by running the following command:

Install ruby-cose Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-cose using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the ruby-cose package we can use the following command:

To uninstall ruby-cose and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-cose

To remove ruby-cose configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-cose
