What is rtpengine

rtpengine is:

Sipwise NGCP rtpengine is a proxy for RTP traffic and other UDP based media traffic. It’s meant to be used with the Kamailio SIP proxy and forms a drop-in replacement for any of the other available RTP and media proxies.

This is a metapackage for easy installation of all four parts of the NGCP media proxy. It will install the user-space daemon, the kernel-space IPtables module, the IPtables extension module and utility scripts.

There are three methods to install rtpengine on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install rtpengine Using apt-get
