How To Install rosbash on Kali Linux

What is rosbash

This package is part of Robot OS (ROS). The rosbash package contains some useful bash functions and adds tab-completion to a large number of the basic ros utilities. The package includes limited support for zsh and tcsh by way of sourcing the roszsh or rostcsh files respectively. It doesn’t provide documentation on these shells, though much of the functionality is similar to the bash shell extensions.
There are three methods to install rosbash on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install rosbash Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install rosbash using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install rosbashInstall rosbash Using apt

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the rosbash package we can use the following command:

To remove rosbash configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
