How To Install root-unuran on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install root-unuran on CentOS 7.
What is root-unuran
Contains universal (also called automatic or black-box) algorithms that can generate random numbers from large classes of continuous or discrete distributions, and also from practically all standard distributions. To generate random numbers the user must supply some information about the desired distribution, especially a C-function that computes the density and - depending on the chosen methods - some additional information (like the borders of the domain, the mode, the derivative of the density …). After a user has given this information an init-program computes all tables and constants necessary for the random variate generation. The sample program can then generate variates from the desired distribution.
We can use yum or dnf to install root-unuran on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install root-unuran.
Install root-unuran on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install root-unuran using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install root-unuran
Install root-unuran on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install root-unuran using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install root-unuran
How To Uninstall root-unuran on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the root-unuran package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove root-unuran
