How To Install rolo on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install rolo on Kali Linux.
What is rolo
rolo is:
Rolo keeps track of your contacts and display them to you with a text-based menu. Rolo strives to be a well-constructed tool for complimenting text-based email programs-such as mutt. It utilizes the vCard version 3.0 format for storing its contacts and it interfaces with the end-user through a NCurses front-end.
There are three methods to install rolo on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install rolo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install rolo using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install roloInstall rolo Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install rolo using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install roloInstall rolo Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install rolo using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install roloHow To Uninstall rolo on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the rolo package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove roloUninstall rolo And Its Dependencies
To uninstall rolo and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove roloRemove rolo Configurations and Data
To remove rolo configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge roloRemove rolo configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove rolo configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge roloDependencies
