What is rlottie
rlottie is a platform independent standalone c++ library for rendering vector based animations and art in realtime. Lottie loads and renders animations and vectors exported in the bodymovin JSON format. Bodymovin JSON can be created and exported from After Effects with bodymovin, Sketch with Lottie Sketch Export, and from Haiku. For the first time, designers can create and ship beautiful animations without an engineer painstakingly recreating it by hand. Since the animation is backed by JSON they are extremely small in size but can be large in complexity!
We can use yum or dnf to install rlottie on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rlottie.
Install rlottie on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install rlottie using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rlottie
Install rlottie on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install rlottie using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install rlottie
How To Uninstall rlottie on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the rlottie package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove rlottie
