What is retro-runner

retro-runner is:

retro-gtk is a library for developers to make GTK+ frontends for the libretro API.

libretro is an API for the creation of games and emulators. The emulators and platforms are distributed as “libretro cores”.

Therefore, a developer can use retro-gtk to make a gaming app that should be able to play any game that can be played using libretro cores.

This package contains the background service.

There are three methods to install retro-runner on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install retro-runner Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install retro-runner using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install retro-runner

Install retro-runner Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install retro-runner using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install retro-runner

Install retro-runner Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install retro-runner using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install retro-runner

How To Uninstall retro-runner on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the retro-runner package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove retro-runner

Uninstall retro-runner And Its Dependencies

To uninstall retro-runner and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove retro-runner

Remove retro-runner Configurations and Data

To remove retro-runner configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge retro-runner

Remove retro-runner configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove retro-runner configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
