What is retext

retext is:

ReText is a simple editor for Markdown and reStructuredText markup languages.

ReText supports tabs, live text preview and syntax highlighting. Supported export formats: HTML, ODT, PDF. It is also possible to write custom export extensions.

It is written in Python using Qt libraries.

There are three methods to install retext on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install retext Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install retext using apt-get by running the following command:
