What is resource-agents-paf

resource-agents-paf is:

PostgreSQL Automatic Failover (aka. PAF) is a new OCF resource Agent dedicated to PostgreSQL. Its original wish is to keep a clear limit between the Pacemaker administration and the PostgreSQL one, to keep things simple, documented and yet powerful.

It only supports multi-state (Master-Slave) PostgreSQL clusters.

There are three methods to install resource-agents-paf on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install resource-agents-paf Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install resource-agents-paf using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install resource-agents-paf

Install resource-agents-paf Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install resource-agents-paf using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install resource-agents-paf

Install resource-agents-paf Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install resource-agents-paf using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install resource-agents-paf

How To Uninstall resource-agents-paf on Kali Linux
