How To Install remotetea on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install remotetea on Kali Linux.
What is remotetea
remotetea is:
This package implements Sun’s Open Network Computing Remote Procedure Call specification (see RFC 1831, RFC 1832, RFC 1833) in pure Java.
It supports:
- RPC calls over TCP/IP as well as UDP/IP;
- both client and server functionality;
- portmapper querying;
- authentication types AUTH_NONE, AUTH_UNIX, and AUTH_SHORT (on both client and server sides).
The utility jrpcgen is provided to compile .x files into Java classes.
There are three methods to install remotetea on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install remotetea Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install remotetea using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install remoteteaInstall remotetea Using apt

To uninstall only the remotetea package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove remoteteaUninstall remotetea And Its Dependencies
To uninstall remotetea and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove remoteteaRemove remotetea Configurations and Data
To remove remotetea configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge remoteteaRemove remotetea configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
