How To Install rear-doc on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install rear-doc on Kali Linux.
What is rear-doc
rear-doc is:
It is a modular framework with many ready-to-go workflows for common situations. Relax-and-Recover produces a bootable image. This image can repartition the system. Once that is done it initiates a restore from backup. Restores to different hardware are possible. Relax-and-Recover can therefore be used as a migration tool as well.

There are three methods to install rear-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install rear-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install rear-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install rear-docInstall rear-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install rear-doc using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the rear-doc package we can use the following command:

To uninstall rear-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove rear-docRemove rear-doc Configurations and Data
To remove rear-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge rear-docRemove rear-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
