rawtran is:

Rawtran is an utility to convert of raw photos in .CR2, .CRW, MRW, NEF, RAF, etc. formats to the general astronomical FITS image format. The identification of raw photo type and decoding itself is done via DCRAW utility by D.Coffin.

There are three methods to install rawtran on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install rawtran Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install rawtran using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install rawtran

Install rawtran Using apt

After updating apt database, We can install rawtran using apt by running the following command:
