How To Install r-cran-rstan on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install r-cran-rstan on Kali Linux.
What is r-cran-rstan
r-cran-rstan is:
User-facing R functions are provided to parse, compile, test, estimate, and analyze Stan models by accessing the header-only Stan library provided by the ‘StanHeaders’ package. The Stan project develops a probabilistic programming language that implements full Bayesian statistical inference via Markov Chain Monte Carlo, rough Bayesian inference via ‘variational’ approximation, and (optionally penalized) maximum likelihood estimation via optimization. In all three cases, automatic differentiation is used to quickly and accurately evaluate gradients without burdening the user with the need to derive the partial derivatives.
There are three methods to install r-cran-rstan on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install r-cran-rstan Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

To uninstall only the r-cran-rstan package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-rstanUninstall r-cran-rstan And Its Dependencies
To uninstall r-cran-rstan and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove r-cran-rstanRemove r-cran-rstan Configurations and Data
To remove r-cran-rstan configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
