How To Install r-cran-qpdf on Ubuntu 22.04

What is r-cran-qpdf
r-cran-qpdf is:
Content-preserving transformations of PDF files such as split, combine, and compress. This package interfaces directly to the ‘qpdf’ C++ API and does not require any command line utilities. Note that ‘qpdf’ does not read actual content from PDF files: to extract text and data you need the ‘pdftools’ package.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-qpdf using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install r-cran-qpdf
How To Uninstall r-cran-qpdf on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the r-cran-qpdf package we can use the following command:

To uninstall r-cran-qpdf and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove r-cran-qpdf

To remove r-cran-qpdf configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge r-cran-qpdf
Remove r-cran-qpdf configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove r-cran-qpdf configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge r-cran-qpdf
