How To Install r-cran-ncdf4 on Ubuntu 20.04

High-level R interface to data files written using Unidata’s netCDF library (version 4 or earlier), which are binary data files that are portable across platforms and include metadata information in addition to the data sets. Using this package, netCDF files (either version 4 or “classic” version 3) can be opened and data sets read in easily. It is also easy to create new netCDF dimensions, variables, and files, in either version 3 or 4 format, and manipulate existing netCDF files.
There are three methods to install r-cran-ncdf4 on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install r-cran-ncdf4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-ncdf4 using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-ncdf4 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install r-cran-ncdf4
Install r-cran-ncdf4 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-ncdf4 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install r-cran-ncdf4

We can use the following command to remove r-cran-ncdf4 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge r-cran-ncdf4
