How To Install r-cran-geometry on Debian 10
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install r-cran-geometry on Debian 10.
What is r-cran-geometry
r-cran-geometry is:
This GNU R package makes the qhull library (www.qhull.org) available in R, in a similar manner as in Octave and MATLAB. Qhull computes convex hulls, Delaunay triangulations, halfspace intersections about a point, Voronoi diagrams, furthest-site Delaunay triangulations, and furthest-site Voronoi diagrams. It runs in 2-d, 3-d, 4-d, and higher dimensions. It implements the Quickhull algorithm for computing the convex hull. Qhull does not support constrained Delaunay triangulations, or mesh generation of non-convex objects, but the package does include some R functions that allow for this. Currently the package only gives access to Delaunay triangulation and convex hull computation.
There are three methods to install r-cran-geometry on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install r-cran-geometry Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-geometry using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install r-cran-geometry
Install r-cran-geometry Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-geometry using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install r-cran-geometry
Install r-cran-geometry Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-geometry using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install r-cran-geometry
How To Uninstall r-cran-geometry on Debian 10
To uninstall only the r-cran-geometry package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-geometry
Uninstall r-cran-geometry And Its Dependencies
To uninstall r-cran-geometry and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove r-cran-geometry
Remove r-cran-geometry Configurations and Data
To remove r-cran-geometry configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge r-cran-geometry
Remove r-cran-geometry configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove r-cran-geometry configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge r-cran-geometry
Dependencies
r-cran-geometry have the following dependencies:
