What is r-cran-genetics
r-cran-genetics is:
Classes and methods for handling genetic data. Includes The package provides a library for the statistics environment R that contains classes to represent genotypes and haplotypes at single markers up to multiple markers on multiple chromosomes. Function include allele frequencies, flagging homo/heterozygotes, flagging carriers of certain alleles, estimating and testing for Hardy-Weinberg disequilibrium, estimating and testing for linkage disequilibrium, and more.

There are three methods to install r-cran-genetics
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-genetics
using apt-get

Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-genetics

by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install r-cran-genetics
Install r-cran-genetics Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-genetics
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install r-cran-genetics
How To Uninstall r-cran-genetics on Debian 9
To uninstall only the r-cran-genetics
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-genetics
Uninstall r-cran-genetics And Its Dependencies
To uninstall r-cran-genetics
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
