How To Install quicktime-utils on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install quicktime-utils on Kali Linux.
What is quicktime-utils
quicktime-utils is:
libquicktime is a library for reading and writing QuickTime files on UNIX systems. Video CODECs supported by this library are OpenDivX, MJPA, JPEG Photo, PNG, RGB, YUV 4:2:2, and YUV 4:2:0 compression. Supported audio CODECs are Ogg Vorbis, IMA4, ulaw, and any linear PCM format.
This package contains additional utilities.
There are three methods to install quicktime-utils on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install quicktime-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install quicktime-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install quicktime-utilsInstall quicktime-utils Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install quicktime-utils using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
