How To Install quickplot on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is quickplot
quickplot is:
A 2-D plotter with infinite zooming, value picking, pipe input, and unlimited plots displayed. Quickplot is meant for looking at your data quickly and of secondary importance is making static pictures of your data. It is a data viewer, not a plot editor. It reads ASCII text and sound files. It has lots of command line options, making it very shell script friendly.
There are three methods to install quickplot
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install quickplot Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install quickplot
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install quickplot
Install quickplot Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install quickplot
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install quickplot
Install quickplot Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install quickplot
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install quickplot
How To Uninstall quickplot on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the quickplot
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove quickplot
Uninstall quickplot And Its Dependencies
To uninstall quickplot
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove quickplot
Remove quickplot Configurations and Data
To remove quickplot
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge quickplot
