How To Install qtractor on Ubuntu 18.04

What is qtractor
qtractor is:
Qtractor is a MIDI/Audio multi-track sequencer application written in C++ around the Qt4 toolkit using Qt Designer.
The Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio, and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI, are the main infrastructures to evolve as a fairly-featured Linux Desktop Audio Workstation GUI, especially dedicated to the personal home-studio.
There are three methods to install qtractor on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install qtractor Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install qtractor using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install qtractor using apt by running the following command:

Install qtractor Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall qtractor on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the qtractor package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove qtractor

To uninstall qtractor and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove qtractor
Remove qtractor Configurations and Data
To remove qtractor configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge qtractor
