What is qtlockedfile-qt5

This class extends the QFile class with inter-process file locking capabilities. If an application requires that several processes should access the same file, QtLockedFile can be used to easily ensure that only one process at a time is writing to the file, and that no process is writing to it while others are reading it. This is a special build against Qt5.

We can use yum or dnf to install qtlockedfile-qt5 on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install qtlockedfile-qt5.

Install qtlockedfile-qt5 on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install qtlockedfile-qt5 using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install qtlockedfile-qt5

Install qtlockedfile-qt5 on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install qtlockedfile-qt5 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install qtlockedfile-qt5

How To Uninstall qtlockedfile-qt5 on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the qtlockedfile-qt5 package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove qtlockedfile-qt5
