What is qt-assistant-adp

The old version of Qt Assistant, based on Assistant Document Profile (.adp) files, and the associated QtAssistantClient library, for compatibility with applications providing help in that format. New applications should use the new version of Qt Assistant introduced in Qt 4.4, based on the Qt Help Framework also introduced in Qt 4.4, instead.

We can use yum or dnf to install qt-assistant-adp on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install qt-assistant-adp.

Install qt-assistant-adp on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install qt-assistant-adp using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install qt-assistant-adp

Install qt-assistant-adp on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install qt-assistant-adp using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install qt-assistant-adp

How To Uninstall qt-assistant-adp on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the qt-assistant-adp package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove qt-assistant-adp
