In this tutorial we learn how to install qrq on Kali Linux.

What is qrq

qrq is:

qrq is an open source morse telegraphy trainer for Linux and Unix operating systems, similar to the classic DOS version of Rufz by DL4MM.

It is not intended for learning telegraphy, but to improve the ability to copy callsigns at high speeds, as needed for example for Contesting.

There are three methods to install qrq on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install qrq Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install qrq using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install qrq

Install qrq Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install qrq using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install qrq

Install qrq Using aptitude
