What is qml-module-qtmir
qml-module-qtmir is:
QtMir is a set of Qt5 components to enable one to write a Mir server with Qt. It contains a QPA (Qt Platform Abstraction) plugin which creates and manages a Mir server. It also exposes some internal Mir functionality.
QtMir provides Qt/QML bindings for Mir features that are exposed through the qtmir-desktop or qtmir-android QPA plugin such as Application management (start/stop/suspend/resume) and surface management.
There are three methods to install qml-module-qtmir
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install qml-module-qtmir Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install qml-module-qtmir
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install qml-module-qtmir

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install qml-module-qtmir
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install qml-module-qtmir
Install qml-module-qtmir Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install qml-module-qtmir
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install qml-module-qtmir
How To Uninstall qml-module-qtmir on Debian 11
To uninstall only the qml-module-qtmir
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove qml-module-qtmir
Uninstall qml-module-qtmir And Its Dependencies
To uninstall qml-module-qtmir
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 11, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove qml-module-qtmir
Remove qml-module-qtmir Configurations and Data
To remove qml-module-qtmir
configuration and data from Debian 11 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge qml-module-qtmir
Remove qml-module-qtmir configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove qml-module-qtmir
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge qml-module-qtmir
