How To Install qemu-system-mips on Ubuntu 18.04

What is qemu-system-mips
qemu-system-mips is:
QEMU is a fast processor emulator: currently the package supports MIPS emulation. By using dynamic translation it achieves reasonable speed while being easy to port on new host CPUs.
This package provides the full system emulation binaries to emulate the following mips hardware: mips mipsel mips64 mips64el.
In system emulation mode QEMU emulates a full system, including a processor and various peripherals. It enables easier testing and debugging of system code. It can also be used to provide virtual hosting of several virtual machines on a single server.
There are three methods to install qemu-system-mips on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install qemu-system-mips Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install qemu-system-mips using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install qemu-system-mips using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install qemu-system-mips using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install qemu-system-mips
How To Uninstall qemu-system-mips on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the qemu-system-mips package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove qemu-system-mips
Uninstall qemu-system-mips And Its Dependencies
To uninstall qemu-system-mips and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove qemu-system-mips
Remove qemu-system-mips Configurations and Data
To remove qemu-system-mips configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge qemu-system-mips

We can use the following command to remove qemu-system-mips configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
