How To Install qdmr on Ubuntu 22.04

What is qdmr
qdmr is:
qdmr is a Qt5 application to program DMR radios. DMR is a digital modulation standard used in amateur and commercial radio. To this end, qdmr is an alternative codeplug programming software (CPS) that supports several radios of several manufacturers. Including AnyTone AT-D868UVE, AT-D878UV, AT-878UVII, AT-D578UV, TyT MD-390, MD-UV380, MD-UV390, MD-2017, Retevis RT8, RT3S, RT82, Radioddity RD5R, GD-77, Baofeng DMR-6X2 and radio running the OpenGD77 firmware.
There are three methods to install qdmr on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install qdmr Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install qdmr using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install qdmr
Install qdmr Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install qdmr using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install qdmr
Install qdmr Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install qdmr using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install qdmr
How To Uninstall qdmr on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the qdmr package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove qdmr
Uninstall qdmr And Its Dependencies
To uninstall qdmr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove qdmr
Remove qdmr Configurations and Data
To remove qdmr configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge qdmr
Remove qdmr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove qdmr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge qdmr
