What is qct

qct is:

qct is a GUI enabled commit tool for various VCS (currently Mercurial, Bazaar, Perforce, Subversion, Monotone, CVS). It aims to be Cross-Platform (Linux, Windows-Native, MacOS, cygwin). It allows the user to view diffs, select which files to commit (or ignore / revert), write commit messages and perform the commit itself.

There are three methods to install qct on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install qct Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install qct using apt by running the following command:

How To Uninstall qct on Ubuntu 18.04

sudo apt-get -y purge qct
