What is python36-yara

Python binding for the YARA pattern matching tool. YARA is a tool aimed at (but not limited to) helping malware researchers to identify and classify malware samples. With YARA you can create descriptions of malware families (or whatever you want to describe) based on textual or binary patterns. Each description, a.k.a rule, consists of a set of strings and a Boolean expression which determine its logic.

Install python36-yara on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install python36-yara using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install python36-yara

Install python36-yara on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install python36-yara using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install python36-yara

How To Uninstall python36-yara on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the python36-yara package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove python36-yara
