What is python36-pysocks

A fork of SocksiPy with bug fixes and extra features. Acts as a drop-in replacement to the socket module. Featuring - SOCKS proxy client for Python 2.6 - 3.x - TCP and UDP both supported - HTTP proxy client included but not supported or recommended (you should use urllib2’s or requests’ own HTTP proxy interface) - urllib2 handler included. This package is for Python3 version 3.6 only.

We can use yum or dnf to install python36-pysocks on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python36-pysocks.

Install python36-pysocks on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install python36-pysocks using yum by running the following command:

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

How To Uninstall python36-pysocks on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the python36-pysocks package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove python36-pysocks
