What is python36-pydot
An interface for creating both directed and non directed graphs from Python. Currently all attributes implemented in the Dot language are supported (up to Graphviz 2.16). Output can be inlined in Postscript into interactive scientific environments like TeXmacs, or output in any of the format’s supported by the Graphviz tools dot, neato, twopi.
We can use yum or dnf to install python36-pydot on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python36-pydot.
Install python36-pydot on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python36-pydot using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python36-pydot
Install python36-pydot on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python36-pydot using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python36-pydot
How To Uninstall python36-pydot on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the python36-pydot package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python36-pydot
