sgmllib was dropped in Python 3. For those depending on it, that’s somewhat unfortunate. This is a quick and dirty port of this old module. I just ran 2to3 on it and published it. I don’t intend to maintain it, so it might be a good idea to eventually think about finding another module to use.
We can use yum or dnf to install python3-sgmllib3k on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python3-sgmllib3k.
Install python3-sgmllib3k on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install python3-sgmllib3k using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python3-sgmllib3k
Install python3-sgmllib3k on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install python3-sgmllib3k using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python3-sgmllib3k
How To Uninstall python3-sgmllib3k on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the python3-sgmllib3k package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python3-sgmllib3k
