python3-regex is:
This new regex implementation is intended eventually to replace Python’s current re module implementation.
For testing and comparison with the current ’re’ module the new implementation is in the form of a module called ‘regex’.
This is the Python 3 version of the package.
There are three methods to install python3-regex on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

To uninstall only the python3-regex package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove python3-regex
