How To Install python3-qwt on Debian 11

What is python3-qwt
python3-qwt is:
The qwt package is a pure Python implementation of Qwt C++ library with the following limitations.
The following Qwt classes won’t be reimplemented in qwt because most
powerful features already exist in guiqwt:
- QwtPlotZoomer
- QwtCounter
- QwtEventPattern
- QwtPicker
- QwtPlotPicker
QwtClipper is not implemented yet (and it will probably be very difficult or impossible to implement it in pure Python without performance issues). As a consequence, when zooming in a plot curve, the entire curve is still painted (in other words, when working with large amount of data, there is no performance gain when zooming in).
This is the Python 3 version of the package.
There are three methods to install python3-qwt on Debian 11. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python3-qwt Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-qwt using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python3-qwt
Install python3-qwt Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-qwt using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python3-qwt
Install python3-qwt Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-qwt using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python3-qwt
How To Uninstall python3-qwt on Debian 11
To uninstall only the python3-qwt package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python3-qwt
Uninstall python3-qwt And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python3-qwt and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 11, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python3-qwt
Remove python3-qwt Configurations and Data
To remove python3-qwt configuration and data from Debian 11 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python3-qwt
Remove python3-qwt configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python3-qwt configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python3-qwt
