What is python3-pylint
Pylint is a Python source code analyzer which looks for programming errors, helps enforcing a coding standard and sniffs for some code smells (as defined in Martin Fowler’s Refactoring book). Pylint can be seen as another PyChecker since nearly all tests you can do with PyChecker can also be done with Pylint. However, Pylint offers some more features, like checking length of lines of code, checking if variable names are well-formed according to your coding standard, or checking if declared interfaces are truly implemented, and much more. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install python3-pylint using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python3-pylint
Install python3-pylint on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install python3-pylint using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python3-pylint
How To Uninstall python3-pylint on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the python3-pylint package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python3-pylint
