What is python3-monotonic

This module provides a monotonic() function which returns the value (in fractional seconds) of a clock which never goes backwards. On Python 3.3 or newer, monotonic will be an alias of time.monotonic from the standard library. On older versions, it will fall back to an equivalent platform specific implementation.

We can use yum or dnf to install python3-monotonic on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python3-monotonic.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall python3-monotonic on AlmaLinux 8

To uninstall only the python3-monotonic package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove python3-monotonic
