How To Install python3-dill on Ubuntu 18.04

python3-dill is:
Dill extends Python 3’s ‘pickle’ module for serializing and de-serializing Python 3 objects to the majority of the built-in Python 3 types. Dill provides the user the same interface as the ‘pickle’ module, and also includes some additional features. In addition to pickling Python 3 objects, dill provides the ability to save the state of an interpreter session in a single command. Dill can be used to store Python 3 objects to a file, but the primary usage is to send Python 3 objects across the network as a byte stream.
There are three methods to install python3-dill on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python3-dill Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-dill using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python3-dill

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-dill using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python3-dill
Install python3-dill Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-dill using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python3-dill
How To Uninstall python3-dill on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python3-dill package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python3-dill

sudo apt-get -y autoremove python3-dill
