What is python3-astlib

python3-astlib is:

astLib is a set of Python3 modules that provides some tools for research astronomers. It can be used for astronomical plots, some statistics, common calculations, coordinate conversions, and manipulating FITS images with World Coordinate System (WCS) information through PyWCSTools - a simple wrapping of WCSTools by Jessica Mink. PyWCSTools is distributed (and developed) as part of astLib.

There are three methods to install python3-astlib on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python3-astlib Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python3-astlib using apt-get by running the following command:
