With apipkg you can control the exported namespace of a python package and greatly reduce the number of imports for your users. It is a small python module that works on virtually all Python versions, including CPython2.3 to Python3.1, Jython and PyPy. It co-operates well with Python’s help() system, custom importers (PEP302) and common command line completion tools.
We can use yum or dnf to install python3-apipkg on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python3-apipkg.
Install python3-apipkg on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python3-apipkg using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python3-apipkg
Install python3-apipkg on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python3-apipkg using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python3-apipkg
How To Uninstall python3-apipkg on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the python3-apipkg package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python3-apipkg
