What is python-tornado
Tornado is an open source version of the scalable, non-blocking web server and tools. The framework is distinct from most mainstream web server frameworks (and certainly most Python frameworks) because it is non-blocking and reasonably fast. Because it is non-blocking and uses epoll, it can handle thousands of simultaneous standing connections, which means it is ideal for real-time web services.
We can use yum or dnf to install python-tornado on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python-tornado.
Install python-tornado on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-tornado using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python-tornado
Install python-tornado on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-tornado using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python-tornado
How To Uninstall python-tornado on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the python-tornado package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python-tornado
