How To Install python-sss on Debian 9

What is python-sss
python-sss is:
Provides a set of daemons to manage access to remote directories and authentication mechanisms. It provides an NSS and PAM interface toward the system and a pluggable backend system to connect to multiple different account sources. It is also the basis to provide client auditing and policy services for projects like FreeIPA.
This package provide a module to access the configuration of the sssd daemon.
This package installs the library for Python 2.
There are three methods to install python-sss
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-sss Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-sss
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-sss
