What is python-sphinx-doc
Sphinx is a tool that makes it easy to create intelligent and beautiful documentation for Python projects (or other documents consisting of multiple reStructuredText sources), written by Georg Brandl. It was originally created to translate the new Python documentation, but has now been cleaned up in the hope that it will be useful to many other projects. This package contains documentation in reST and HTML formats.
We can use yum or dnf to install python-sphinx-doc on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python-sphinx-doc.
Install python-sphinx-doc on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-sphinx-doc using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python-sphinx-doc
Install python-sphinx-doc on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-sphinx-doc using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python-sphinx-doc
How To Uninstall python-sphinx-doc on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the python-sphinx-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python-sphinx-doc
